03/ Brasil - Paraty

Nous avons pris le bus depuis Ubatuba pour Paraty avec un trajet d'environ 1h15 pour 4,50 euros chacun. Nous sommes arrivés à la gare routière centrale, à Paraty il y en a qu'une donc c'est plus pratique pour trouver les bus locaux qui desservent tous les alentours.

Nous avons dormi dans un dortoir du Bossa Nova Hostel, un peu en dehors du centre ville, plutôt tranquille et plutôt rustique. À noter notre première rencontre avec une famille de cafards ...

We took the bus from Ubatuba to Paraty with a ride of about 1:15 for 4.50 euros each. We arrived at the central bus station, in Paraty there is only one so it's more convenient to find the local buses that serve all the neighborhoods.
We stayed in a dorm at the Bossa Nova Hostel, a bit out of town, rather quiet and rather rustic. Note our first meeting with a family of cockroaches ...

Le centre de Paraty est magnifique, les demeures coloniales ont été conservées ainsi que les gros pavés des rues. Avec leurs habits de carnaval, ses petites rues chantaient avec la brise. L'atmosphère était à la fois relaxante et chaleureuse grâce aux couleurs vives utilisées et appliquées tout autour de nous.

The center of Paraty is magnificent, the colonial mansions have been preserved as well as the cobblestones of the streets. With their carnival clothes, the little streets sang with the breeze. The atmosphere was both relaxing and warm thanks to the bright colors used and applied all around us.

 

 

 

Paraty, c'est aussi une petit port avec ses bateaux de pêcheurs, ceux promènent toutouristes et ses junkboats à la Hongkongaise pour y faire la fête (mais plus petits). Le tout forme toutefois, un petit port coloré et charmant près duquel il est facile de s’asseoir et de laisser passer les heures.

Paraty is also a small harbor with its fishing boats, those taking tourists and junkboats as Hong Kong ones (but smaller) to party. The whole thing, however, is a small port colorful and charming near which it's easy to sit and let hours pass.

 

 

 

Nous avons pris le temps de faire un peu de shopping, John par nécessité et moi parce qu'être au Brésil sans sa paire de Havaianas c'est pas possible... (8 euros la paire).
We took the time to do some shopping, John by necessity and I because being in Brazil without his pair of Havaianas is not possible ... (8 euros the pair)

Nous sommes restés 4 jours sur place donc nous avons eu le temps d'explorer un peu les environs mais je pense qu'il y a encore plus à découvrir. Voici la carte touristique du coin :
We stayed for 4 days so we had time to explore the surrounding area but I think there is more to discover. Here is the tourist map of the area:

- Une première excursion en bus au nord de la ville pour les cascades de Poço de Tarzan surnommée Tobogan. Nous étions à la recherche de fraîcheur car la température était de 37°C et d'ombre car les coup de soleil étaient toujours douloureux. Cet endroit a parfaitement rempli nos attentes avec en prime un toboggan naturel géant où les jeunes du coin s'amusent dans une eau très froide.
- A first bus tour north of the city for the Poço de Tarzan waterfalls nicknamed Tobogan. We were looking for freshness as the temperature was 37 °C and shade because the sunburn was still painful. This place has perfectly fulfilled our expectations with a bonus a giant natural slide where the local youngsters have fun in very cold water.

Ici, aucun d'entre eux n'a osé sauté .... Here, none of them dared jumped ....

- Deuxième excursion pour la Praia do Sono, une magnifique plage (la plus belle de Paraty parait-il !) accessible depuis un sentier d'une heure de marche dans la jungle.
Elle est située au Sud de la ville et le bus est celui de Vila Oratorio, descendre au terminus.
- Second excursion to the Praia do Sono, a beautiful beach (the most beautiful in Paraty!) Accessible from an hour's walk in the jungle.
It is located to the south of the city and the bus is that of Vila Oratorio, get off at the terminus.

 Quelques jolis "design" de dame nature ... Some beautiful "design" of Mother Nature ...

-Troisième excursion pour Vila da Trindade par le bus du même nom.
A l'arrivée un village touristique avec ses restaurants, ses bars, ses boutiques et une grande plage avec chaises et parasols, mais pas que ... En continuant sur la droite (celle face à la mer), on arrive sur une autre petite plage avec des pêcheurs en plein travail.
 -Third excursion to Vila da Trindade by the bus of the same name.
On arrival a tourist village with its restaurants, bars, shops and a large beach with chairs and umbrellas, but not only ... Continuing on the right (when facing the sea), we arrive on another small Beach with fishermen at work.

 

Il faut ensuite continuer à longer la cote et traverser un petit bout de jungle pour découvrir une autre magnifique plage beaucoup plus tranquille et ombragée.
Then you have to continue along the coast and cross a small jungle to discover another beautiful beach much quieter and shaded.

Enfin au bout de cette plage et apres une autre petite marche à travers la jungle, on trouve un bassin de mer abrité par des rochers, sorte de piscine naturelle.
Finally at the end of this beach and after another small walk through the jungle, we find a sea basin sheltered by rocks, a sort of natural pool.

Paraty, c'est aussi une ambiance festive en soirée surtout quelques jours avant le carnaval. De nombreux groupes jouent dans les rues pour le plaisir des passants et des locaux. Notre hostel avait également organisé une soirée concert qui nous a permis de nous mettre dans l'ambiance Caliente du Brézil, super soirée !
Paraty, it is also a festive atmosphere in the evening especially a few days before the carnival. Many bands play on the streets for the enjoyment of passers-by and the locals. Our hostel also organized a concert evening that allowed us to get into the Caliente atmosphere of the Brazilian, great evening!

Enfin, mon deuxième coup de cœur culinaire jusqu’à présent: les plats flambés à la Cachaça du restaurant Casa do Fogo, un vrai régal et un super mélange de saveurs.
Finally, my second favorite culinary experience so far: flavored dishes at the Cachaça of the Casa do Fogo restaurant, a real treat and a great blend of flavors.
