10/ Brasil - Cumbuco

Nous avons pris l'avion depuis Salvador jusqu'à Fortaleza mais nous avons décidé de ne pas y rester car la longue plage sans ombre et bordée d'immeubles ne nous fascinait pas vraiment !
Nous sommes donc remonté 30Km plus haut jusqu'à la petite ville côtière de Cumbuco.
Notre idée au départ était de venir ici pour nous initier au Kite Surf. Les côtes brésiliennes du Nord-Est sont très réputées pour la pratique de cette activité. Le seul problème c'est que nous sommes arrivés hors saison, le vent n'était pas au RDV. Nous avons donc pu faire une initiation d'initiation pendant une petite heure et demi et puis plus rien. De plus, les prix des cours sont vraiment très élevés, plus que ceux de La Rochelle et d'Irlande... donc pas si sûr que ce soit une bonne idée de venir apprendre ici ...
We flew from Salvador to Fortaleza but decided not to stay there because the long beach without shade and lined with buildings did not really fascinate us!
So we went up 30km further north up to the small coastal town of Cumbuco.
Our idea at the start was to come here to introduce us to the Kite Surf. The Brazilian coast of the Northeast is very famous for the practice of this sport. The only problem is that we arrived out of season, the wind was not at the RDV. So we were only able to do an initiation for a little hour and a half and then nothing. Moreover, the prices of the courses are very high, more than those of La Rochelle and Ireland ... so not so sure that it's a good idea to come here to learn ...

Mais pas besoin de Kite Surf pour tomber amoureux de ce petit coin de paradis. Les touristes étant absents, la petite ville était toute à nous, sa plage, ses restaurants, ses dunes, ses habitants ...
But no need for Kite Surf to fall in love with this little piece of paradise. The tourists were absent, the small town was all to us, its beach, its restaurants, its dunes, its inhabitants ...

 

Mais si nous avons décidé de poser nos sacs à dos ici pendant plusieurs jours, c'est surtout à cause de notre Hostel : le Bada Hostel. Un vrai jardin d'Eden, magnifique, calme, un endroit où on s'est senti chez nous. Nous y avons rencontré Carlos, un argentin, passionnant personnage plein d'anecdotes et de conseils qui lui aussi est arrivé ici pour quelques jours et y est depuis 2 mois !
But if we decided to put our backpacks here for several days, it was mainly because of our Hostel: the Bada Hostel. A real garden of Eden, beautiful, quiet, a place where we felt at home. We met Carlos, an Argentinian, exciting character full of anecdotes and advice who also arrived here for a few days and has been there for 2 months!

Nous avions aussi un autre ami très câlin, surtout lorsque je cuisinais ...
We also had another very cuddly friend, especially when I was cooking ...

Je ne saurais pas dire comment est cet endroit en pleine saison touristique, mais pour un break ou une petite retraite spirituelle pendant la basse saison, c'est juste parfait !
Une petite remarque cependant : ne pas oublier de prendre des produits anti moustiques ...

I can not say how this place is during the tourist season, but for a break or a small spiritual retreat, during the low season, it's just perfect!

A small note however: do not forget to take mosquito repelent products ...
